Our Boroondara - Our City Our Future
Our Boroondara - Our City Our Future is a 20-year vision statement, which provides Council with a long-term and strategic community vision for Boroondara.

Community Profile
The Community Profile is based on the Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Ward Community Profiles
Following the recent Electoral Representation Review conducted by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC), community profiles for each of the ten Council Wards have been revised using the results of the 2006 Census. The Ward profiles are located in Council's existing 2006 Census Community Profile website. Each Ward’s community profile can be selected by using the drop-down box at right of the screen.

Future Population
The forecasts provide detailed information on total population, total households and dwellings, and household types for the years 2001 to 2021.

A Social Profile of Boroondara
A Social Profile of Boroondara publication is a companion document to Council’s 2006 Census Community Profiles, providing a more in-depth analysis of the available socio-economic data relating to the Boroondara community.

Community Research Program
The community research undertaken in recent years through the use of telephone surveys and focus groups has provided Council with considerable information on the communities values, needs, aspirations and priorities.

The Community Information System (CIS) provides you with an up-to-date listing of community groups and organisations relevant to Boroondara residents.

Boroondara Community Voice
Boroondara Community Voice provides residents with the opportunity to express their views on issues that impact on the local community.

Foundation Boroondara
Foundation Boroondara is a community foundation, established to further develop the social bonds of our city.

Community Group Support
Council offers a range of services to support communtiy groups and local businesses.

Community Development Grants
The Community Development Grants Program supports community organisations and projects which meet the social, cultural, economic, recreational and environmental needs of Boroondara residents. It also provides grants to individuals in support and recognition of individual achievement in the sporting and cultural fields.

Community Onboard Skill Development Workshops
The Boroondara Community OnBoard Program aims to encourage local community organisations and sport and recreational clubs to grow and develop through skills training, information and support.

Friends of Same, East Timor
In 2001 the City of Boroondara extended a hand of friendship to Same in the central mountain ranges of East Timor, which is home to more than 20,000 people.

Special Needs Recreation
There is a range of coordinated recreation and leisure opportunities for people with special needs.
