Community Festivals
The City of Boroondara supports a number of local community festivals and events through our Operational Grants Scheme and one off funding arrangements.
Council also supports a number of Christmas celebrations that take place within the municipality. Futher information on these events will be posted later in the year.
The six key community festivals held in Boroondara occur from October through to April each year and include:
Surrey Hills Sustainability Expo
The Surrey Hills Sustainability Expo is presented by the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre. The inaugural Expo will be held on Sunday 9 November 2008.

Maling Road Festival
The Kristkindl Christmas Festival at Maling Road Shopping Village, Canterbury is held annually on the first Friday in December.

Ashburton Festival
Ashburton Community Street Festival takes place on the last Sunday each February in a closed off High Street.

The Kew Community Festival represents a proud tradition of community participation, making it one of Melbourne's leading family festivals.
